Cavanaugh Christmas

The week after Christmas, we headed to Chicago for this year's "Christmas #2." Celebrating Christmas over the New Year's weekend wouldn't work for some families but Karen and I certainly didn't have any other plans to celebrate the New Year and most of the Cavanaughs did not either so it worked out really well.

We had a great time hanging out at Jan and Chuck's house with many of the cousins visiting at once or twice. Owen and I got to finally see the new Star Wars movie and Karen, Jan, and Logan went to see Alvin and Chipmunks. Unfortunately, we also watched Iowa get annihilated in the Rose Bowl. Ugh.

Then we all had a phenomenal family get together at Brian and Kalah's. Great food, great company, and tons of presents for the kids.

 

 Logan has been getting a kick out of crossing his eyes for photos lately.

Natalie has some serious photobombing skills. Does that come with being a black belt?

When we got home, we were able to use one of the boys' gifts right away by adding the fort building kit they got from Jan and Chuck to the one we already had bought them. Now they have enough pieces to make a place big enough for both of them (and all of the "supplies" they feel it was necessary to stock inside) to easily fit!
