"Spring" Trip to Chicago

In mid-March Owen, Logan and I headed to Chicago.  Jake had some work commitments so he stayed behind.  The boys were fantastic travelers - on both the trip to Chicago and the trip home.  We were fortunate to have great weather on Friday and hit the zoo with Grandma. Lions, tigers, and bears - oh, my!  We saw them all.  In addition to hippos, rhinos, giraffes and a slew of other fun animals.  Aunt Maggie was able to meet up with us for part of the zoo visit - the boys loved having her there.

We also celebrated Julia's 9th birthday with a super fun party.  As always, Katie and Frank were great hosts - the food was yummy and the company was excellent.  The boys had a blast playing with their cousins AND witnessing their first Uncle Brian present wrapping.  Julia's gift was wrapped in 6 layers of duct tape and then put inside a plywood box.  She needed a drill and a few extra hands to open her gift!

A great weekend that ended too quickly.  Already looking forward to our Summer get together!
