Member Appreciation Day 2013

On Saturday, August 3, RBCU (my place of employment) held its Member Appreciation Day. It is a time of free food (brats, hot dogs, pasta salad, chips, soda, cookies, mini-donuts, and popcorn) for all members under the big tent, prize drawings, give away items, live music (Teddy Bear Band playing kid-friendly tunes), face and hair painting vendors, and even balloon animals. We usually get 1,000 to 1,200 of our members (and the family and friends they bring along) over the course of 4 hours.

This year, after the play date with Owen's ol' pal Grady was delayed until the afternoon, Karen decided to bring the boys over for some early lunch and diversion. It was a hit!

Watch the progression of the final touches being put on O's "Spider Eye" and the exact second
he sees his new and improved self in the mirror. Excited much?

The final 3 pics are 'K and the Boyz' (working name for their dance group) rockin' out to the dulcet tunes
of the world famous Teddy Bear Band.

It was good to see them all have so much fun. I tend to dread this event each year but having Karen, Owen, and Logan show up helped the first hours go by quickly. Of course, having them there also let me show off my good looking family to my co-workers.
