DINOSAURS!!!

When we learned that the MN Zoo was going to have a Dinosaur exhibit for the summer, we knew that we'd be visiting many times. Owen continues to be fascinated by dinosaurs (he will sing you his 'Dinosaurs A-Z' song, if you ask) and was excited to see them "for real". We did take the time to explain to Owen that dinosaurs no longer live so the ones we will see are just like really big toys. The dinosaurs were life-sized and moved and roared...making the experience terrifying for many of the little kids present. Owen was in awe but tentative about getting close to the dinos. He stayed at a safe distance and would hang on to Jake or I for the closer looks. The most impactful sight was that of one dino eating another dino (the third picture down).  Owen could not stop staring and he had lots of questions for us - which continue to this day.
