Our First Guests - Part 2 - Zoo Fun

As will no doubt often be the case, with the folks in town, we hit the zoo! Kind of hard not to do that considering our annual membership and the fact that we are 6 or 7 minutes away (timed from our driveway to the zoo parking lot).

Besides all the normal exhibits and time on playground equipment (an Owen favorite), there were African animals to see, and the updated Dinosaur exhibit. Then, at the end of the visit, we watched and laughed at the amazingly funny antics of Logan who enjoyed the kid-friendly water "park" (jets and sprays and timed fountains) more than any of us thought possible. It started with him being interested and Karen holding him and getting him close. Then, all bets were off and he went from jet to jet and soaked himself. Soon enough, he had a small crowd of parents and grandparents laughing and clapping for him as he put on a show of unmitigated toddler delight. He. Is. Such. A. Ham. Owen was not really into getting wet like his lil' bro (instead marching around the perimeter of the fountains splash radius), but as the pics attest, he climbed everything he could.

The collages below don't have any of Nani or Papa. Surprise surprise! Nani took the vast majority of photos (as usual) and we were all so focused in on the kids that there weren't that many of the rest of us (with a few exceptions). That said, I want to include at least one to show they were there.

  1. A great day at the zoo!! Owen the Brave educated us along the Dinosaur Trail and Geyser Man Logan showed expert timing with the water spouts. So cool that it is so close to home, I loved it!! Nani
